These hoodoos are formed when the softer sandstone is eroded beneath a harder rock. Eventually the base is eroded enough that the top rock can no longer be supported and it collapses. Img 45932 Toadstool<\/p>\n

Rainbow Bridge is the highest natural sandstone bridge in the world at 234ft. It is called a bridge because it was formed by water vs. an arch that is formed by wind erosion. The bridge is in Utah and we got there after a 50 mile\/2 hour boat ride. – Img 45520 Rainbow<\/p>\n
