Snow in Baytown is a rare thing (last snow was about 1 inch of snow in 2008). On January 21, 2025, a polar vortex brought multiple inches of snow to the southern USA – Called a “once in a generation event”.  Here are some fun photos of 2025 snow in Baytown:

The snow collecting on our deck replicated the patern of the deck boards and the underlining supports to create an interesting pattern.

A view out toward Burnet Bay. I bet the late leaf color change of our red oak will be hitting the ground soon after this cold weather.

The snow accumulation on our AC condensers made them look like jet engines.

Maybe we found a new hiking buddy? Seems to be very comfortable in cold weather but not very talkative and not in a hurry.
